The curriculum aims at analyzing the relationship between culture - in Arts and Literature - and Politics in post-war Italy, taking into account the presence in the country of political mass parties and their role in the process of post-fascist cultural and social reconstruction. Furthermore, the position of Italy, inside the logic of cold war, will be considered .

Furthermore, the following general objectives will be achieved:
Knowing and dealing with the most important issues of Italian history in the second post-war period.
Studying in deep the influence of politics on the Italian culture
Acquiring the following skills: grasping a connection of events;
making comparisons; problem solving.
Developing a critical attitude towards the matter

Specific objectives:
Knowing some cultural events which characterized the birth of Italian Republic and their development, considering also the position of the country inside the cold war logic
