Objectives

-To acquire the basic knowledge towards the correct identification of somatic and visceral pain conditions requiring urgent intervention

Contents

-Thoracic pain

- Abdomino-pelvic pain

-Headaches

-Musculoskeletal pain

Extended Syllabus

-Thoracic and abdominopelvic pain conditions in emergency medicine (cardiologic, pulmonary, gastroenterologic, genitourinary): clinical characteristics and differential diagnosis

- Primary vs secondary headaches: principles of differential diagnosis and guidelines for prompt intervention

-Musculoskeletal pain: pathophysiology and guidelines for intervention
