The goal of the course is that students attain the following results in terms of learning Knowledge and understanding The course intends to provide the student with a wide knowledge and a robust understanding of the principles and methods useful to understand the innovative dynamic in digital markets, focusing on case-studies that help to realize the current change of economies, industries and groups of firms. Ability to apply the knowledge and understanding At the end of the course, the student will be able to interpret the strategical choices of innovative firms in digital markets and understand the impacts on market dynamics generated by product and process innovations.
The course aims at providing the main conceptual tools by which to allow students understanding the working of digital markets and the underlying innovative dynamics. Such markets are characterized by the crucial role played by technological and business innovations. The full comprehension of the role of innovations helps to interpret new and young firms’ strategies and actions, emerging business needs and the choices of consumers.

Knowledge and understanding The understanding by the students of the basic notions and tools dealt with at lecture will be monitored also during the course in classroom (by means of written tests and the presentation and discussion of case studies). During the final exam the evaluation of the understanding will be carried out by means of an oral exam to test the knowledge of the texts of reference and the analysis of practical case studies. The points of the oral exam will be assigned through a grade in /30. Ability to apply the knowledge and understanding During the final exam, the written tests and the discussion of the case studies, the student will ve assessed on the basis of his/her capacity to apply the knowledge base to interpret and comprehend in a wide manner and in a structural way the case studies under discussion.
