The course aims to make the student aware of the risks inherent in the use of ionizing radiation in medicine through practical cases, the most significant aspects of radiation protection that contribute to a perfect management of the ionizing radiation will be studied. The student will have to learn the basics in subject of physical legislation and medicine that will allow him right from the start a correct behavior towards radiological risk and that will qualify him in the future profession.

High energy radiation protection. - Medical aspects: Overview of effects on humans. Health surveillance of exposed personnel. Medical record of exposed personnel. - Operational aspects: Radiation protection in the use of radioisotopes in medicine. Personal protective equipment. Environmental dosimetry.
