LABORATORIO DI STRUMENTI DI PALEOGRAFIA, DIPLOMATICA E CODICOLOGIA
Students are expected to gain the basic ability to understand the nature of diffferent Medieval written sources, through the analysis of selected book and documentary plates.
The course is intended to offer the basics for a first approach to Palaeography, Diplomatics and Codicology.
The course will be mainly practical and will aim at giving students the basics for reading and interpreting some among the most common written source.

Classes will mainly be based on practical exercises, based on the reading and commenting of plates. Students will be requested to do homework.
The final exm will consist in the reading and analysis of one or more plates.
The attendance of this "Laboratorio" is particularly suggested to those students who wish to attend the course of Latin Palaeography during the second semester.
