Objectives

The course aims to provide participants with the theoretical and technical knowledge necessary for a thorough understanding of the operating conditions of companies. With respect to the professional profile that the course of study aims to train, the course is aimed at developing the following skills:

Knowledge and learning
- in-depth and specialized knowledge necessary for the analysis of the business crisis phenomena observed with the use of the main interpretative models elaborated in doctrine and in practice.
Autonomy of judgment
- diagnose the state of business crisis
- evaluate, from an integrated perspective, the causes of the crisis, the appropriate diagnostic tools, as well as the most suitable strategies for overcoming the company crisis.
Communication / application skills
- use managerial terminology related to the management of business crisis processes
- apply the knowledge acquired for the diagnosis and understanding of business crisis phenomena.

Teaching Methods

The course is structured in 36 hours of classroom lessons divided into theoretical lessons, seminars and analysis of case studies in order to verify the practical application of the theoretical topics covered in the program

Evaluation methods

Verification of learning:

The assessment of learning is aimed at evaluating both theoretical knowledge and transversal skills, in particular the application of theoretical concepts to problem solving, critical analysis, interpretation and evaluation of case studies of crisis processes firm.
For attending students, the learning assessment includes a written test and a colloqium. The written test (optional) is mainly aimed at evaluating the acquisition of transversal skills (knowing how to do and knowing how to be). The colloquium exam focuses on the verification of the level of acquisition of theoretical concepts and of expository capacity (communication skills). The overall evaluation (expressed in thirtieths) is attributed for 80% to the written test and 20% to the oral test.
For non-attending students, the learning assessment test is a colloquium only.
