Intended for students in medical and health professions, the course has the idea that sociology of health, a subdiscipline of general sociology with a strong interdisciplinary impulse, must offer a cognitively relevant perspective in a precise, but not excessively specialized language.
The course will proceed in the direction of a progressive specification of the contents. From the knowledge of the main sociological theories and methods, with particular attention to the epistemological perspectives, it comes to a reflection lowered in the contexts of health and medicine, with an in-depth analysis of some themes related to them.
