For students who plan not to attend lessons, class notes can be substituted by one of the following books:

b) Thomas Elsaesser, Malte Hagener, Teoria del film. Un’introduzione, Torino, Einaudi, 2009.
All students must present a list of five films for the final exam, chosen among the ones discussed during class, or analysed in the bibliography. An in-depth knowledge of these films will be required.
