Specifically, we will work on the project of an Intelligent Parking, equipped with a large functional program, in
able to respond to all the needs that can gravitate around such a building. Parking, in addition to fulfilling
to its main function, it will host a series of interrelated activities, which will make its use not only necessary but
even sought after. So we will go from the kinder garden, to the small market / drugstore, from bike and car sharing services, to those for
recharging batteries of all types, bicycles, motorcycles, cars, mobile vehicles in general, from the bus stop
computerized, to the coffe & book store, from being a park and square and meeting place to being an icon and imaginary reference.
There will be due attention to current issues such as those of environmental impact, and sustainability,
understood not only from the point of view of ecology but also and above all from the point of view of economic sustainability, and to
"Sensitive belonging of the project to the infrastructure strategies of the urban territory", not least those inherent to the
Slow Mobility. The knowledge acquired in the previous teachings of architectural composition (from 1 to 3), should
bring the student to the ability to invent and control the architectural project, to develop it with consistency with respect to
premises, with great expressive generosity but within certain, constructive and functional, as well as economic, rules,
with the aim of achieving that "beauty" with respect to which the sensitivity in knowing how to recognize it has been lost, and therefore in
desire to know how to reach it through a decoding process that leads "from vision to reality".
The area covered by the intervention is very large and has enormously complex characteristics carrying within itself
different and complementary themes, ranging from the landscape, to the quality of the environment and urban life, from the project to
urban scale, mobility, infrastructure, architecture, (and therefore very interesting and fascinating).
It involves working on an area of approximately 65,000 m2 in which the coast line and the river path cross, beyond the arrival
of the axis equipped with all the traffic that this entails.
The area is partly affected by the Detailed Plan PP2, which already includes solutions and infrastructures similar to the theme of the course.
For the rest it will be a question of following the indications of the program, following the possibilities given by the PRG, or simulating small
variants if aimed at indisputable improvements.
