The course aims to make the student confident with the basics of reinforced concrete design following the limit state design approach. The principles of seismic design will also be presented. The course will follow the principles of the current Italian design code (NTC 2018). Students will view a few current and older design projects, in order to highlight the main differences between new and older construction.
