The course intends to provide the student with a wide knowledge and a robust understanding of the principles and methods useful to understand the firms’ cost functions, the concept of productive efficiency, the characteristics of the healthcare and pharmaceutical markets, and the trend of the public expenses in healthcare in Italy.
Ability to apply the knowledge and understanding
At the end of the course, the student will be able to discuss with good knowledge and reasoning about several case-studies at the firm level, at the industry level, and the underlying dynamic competition.
