The course aims to provide the students with the tools for the analysis and the interpretation of the governance and strategic management models of firms.
In particular, this purpose is linked to the following learning outcomes:
Knowledge and ability to understand – the course aims to provide knowledge and comprehension related to the basic concepts and scientific language for business strategy. This knowledge and competences are obtained through the participation at the lessons and seminars with corporate executives, organized during the course, and through the individual, autonomous, and guided study.
Ability to apply knowledge and understanding – the course aims to support the advancement of strategic interpretation of business concepts. This outcome is pursued through an educational approach aimed at analyzing prearranged themes, related to the analysis and the strategic management of firms, the systems of strategic monitoring and the measurement of corporate performance. The ability to apply knowledge and understanding is demonstrated through a critical reflection of the students on the contents of textbooks; it is urged by the lessons; it is supported by the study of business cases, explained by the professor, entrepreneurs, and professionals, who hold organized seminars.
