Objectives

Providing useful knowledge and tools to the humanist scholar, encouraging the development of specific professional skills in the digital and digitisation field.

Contents

After an introduction to the context of digital humanities, methodologies, techniques and digital resources developed from the application of information science in different fields of the humanities will be presented in the course.

Teaching Methods

Lectures with the aid of computer and multimedia/internet resources. Students will be invited to submit their original works or theoretical insights on course topics of their choice for discussion in the class. Some classes will have a hands-on approach; there will also be an off-site visit for a more in-depth field study of the course content, and external speakers may be invited for specific classes and seminars.
