EDUCATIONAL TARGETS
This course aims to provide elements and basic statistical methods for
economic-business research.
More specifically, its aim is to provide students with tools necessary for
decisions related to the social/economic domain.
EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES
The aim is to provide students with skills necessary to operate with
statistical tools in order to support the managerial decisions.
AUTONOMY OF JUDGMENT
Through the acquired statistical method the student will have the ability
to collect and interpret useful data to determine an autonomous
judgment, including reflection on social, scientific and ethical issues
connected to them.
KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
At the end of the course students will possess the cognitive tools to:
- use the fundamental tools of the descriptive and inferential Statistics for
the analysis of the observed data, concerning socio-economic and
business phenomena.
APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
At the end of the course, students will be able to:
- collect, process and interpret quantitative and qualitative data.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
The following communication skills will be acquired by students at the
end of the course:
- properly use the statistical terminology - be able to transfer
information and assessments concerning data distributions in terms of
socio-economic issues.
