PSICOLOGIA DELLO SVILUPPO INTERATTIVO E COMUNICATIVO
Knowledge of early social understanding and communicative abilities, in particular of the psychological processes and mechanisms underlying their development, both in typical and atypical (autistic and preterm infants) conditions; ability to link normal and impaired development; ability to refer theoretical claims to empirical data.
Human social sensitivity at birth; early reference understanding; gestural an first language acquisition; early social understanding; impaired and at risk conditions for shared attention; brain-behaviour-environment interactions in early cognitive development.
Early social and communicative abilities in typical and atypical conditions are presented in the light of the social understanding development. Human infants are viewed as psychobiological and developing beings. Main topics are the following: Social bond formation: innate tendencies, neurological basis, environmental affordances. Dyadic interactions: temporal contingency, expressive exchanges; interpersonal co-regulation. Triadic interactions: shared attention, communicative gestures, social referencing. Intentional communication: deictic and representational gestures, pointing development. Early language: shared references, vocal and verbal schemes, first words.
