The course aims to provide students with the theoretical and applicative foundations of psychology of language.The course will allow students to:1) learn more about the principles of operation of the language processing system, taking into account the different levels (words, phrases, texts), modalities (written, spoken) and processes (comprehension, production); the theoretical-explanatory models of linguistic phenomena, cognitive mechanisms and underlying biological bases;2) process and to apply in an appropriate way the theoretical and methodological foundations of language psychology in different contexts: cross-linguistic comparing, bilingualism, acquisition, ageing, neural damages, etc.3) critically analyze the scientific literature on the psychology of language and the different phases of the scientific approach to phenomena present in psycholinguistics.4) deepen autonomously the topics of own interest covered in the recent scientific literature by highlighting limits and potentialities even in an applicative perspective;5) transmit knowledge acquired through the analysis of the literature directly in the interaction with the teacher and with other students
