The course will be dedicated to the research methodology in clinical and health psychology, starting from ideation and arriving to research report. The main research designs will be examined with a special focus on cross-sectional and longitudinal studies. An in-depth analysis of mediation, moderation, and moderated mediation will be addressed. Further, during the course an introduction of a statistical software for social sciences (SPSS) will be done. In particular, the following topics will be addressed: the software structure; the basic techniques that allow performing functions of calculation, transformation, division of data; techniques for calculating descriptive statistics, differences between groups (categorical variables / continuous variables), and associations between variables (bivariate correlations). A final part of the course will be dedicated to the practical application of knowledge and skills acquired by the students.
