The course aims to enable students to understand the functional bases of the integrative activity of the nervous system for the understanding of psychic activity and physiological correlates. Specifically, it frames the neurophysiological processes correlated with the main psychic disorders and with the alterations present in mental disorders. Particular attention will be paid to the role of the most commonly used psychotropic drugs and of the main drugs of abuse both in term of theoretical and applied knowledge. The course stimulates the knowledge and the comprehension ability applied to psicho-pathological aspects. The course aims to allow students to be indipendent in their judgment about neurophysiological topics. The course aims to develop and stimulate
communication and learning skills in neurophysiological topics.
