Module I (= 6 ECTS) Mercurino Ranzo, De falso hypocrita
Reading of and comment on the De falso hypocrita, written by Mercurino Ranzo, the jurist and future top-level functionariy of the Savoy administration. The comedy was staged at the Studium generale in Pavia in April 1437; the actors in this play, in which Ranzo creatively re-worked the comedy Janus sacerdos, written by an unknown author ten years before, were probably students.

Module II (= 3 ECTS) Anonimo, Paedia. Reading of and comment on the Paedia, a latin verse comedy by an anonymous author, which in the world of humanistic comedies occupies an original position for its pronounced allegorical nature, in perfect line with the educational and pedagogical interests of the 15th century, and its connections to other comedies, for example, the Paulus by Pier Paolo Vergerio and the Philodoxeos fabula by Leon Battista Alberti.
