Attendance of the Course of Dynamic Psychology is advised
The aim of the Course is to develop the students’ theoretical and critical knowledge of the fundamental concepts of Dynamic Psychology, in particular of the emotions. Emotions constitute the essential dimensions of human condition since they contribute to establish the representation of oneself and other, as well as interpersonal relationships. LEARNING OUTCOMES: Students at the end of the Course will be able to understanding of the way emotions may represent a pathogenic vulnerability apparatus in such a way that it will be possible to narrate an existential trajectory bridging personal vulnerability to pathogenic situations.
What are emotions? How do emotions contribute to self-knowledge and to the understanding of the world? How do emotions relate to corporeality? In which situations do emotions become a pathogenic apparatus? What is the relation between emotions, language and narrativity?
It is required to study some articles that will be indicated in class and slides, in addition to the textbook: G. Stanghellini: Lost in Dialogue: Anthropology, Psychopathology, and Care. Oxford Univesity Press, 2016; part one (pp. 1-100)
Classroom-taught lessons will be integrated with interactive modules and discussion of clinical example
