The Course of Sustainable Building Deisgn, as part of the Master’s Degree in Costruction Engineering (Class LM24), provides the integration of two different teachings: Sustainable Urban Design (ICAR 21, 6 cfu) and Sustainable Architectural Design (ICAR 10, 6 cfu).
The integrated Course has the objective to define the qualify aspects, both methodological and operative, that guide a design (interscalar and interdisciplinary) process finalized to regeneration of fragile urban contexts situated whitin the inner and marginal territories of our Country.
The Course will be reserved attention for the interpretation of the processes of physical and socio-economic degradation of ancient villages associated to the dynamics of depopulation and environmental vulnerability, as well as to the design governance of recent laws and regulations aimed at sustainable energy and environmental regeneration of the building heritage stok.
Cultural and operative references for the course are the well-know guidelines (directives, addresses, laws, programs and plans) at EU and national level in the field of urban regeneration (National Strategy for Inland Areas, Toledo Declaration), Ecological Housing (Audis, Lipsia Declaration), energy efficiency of buildings (SuperBonus, NZEB/Nearly Zero Energy Building) and more generally, in the field of resilience of marginal urban contexts (ANCSA, Cresme, Urban@it) as well as resilience and adaptivity of buildings systems (Manifest the Future City/States General Green Economy, Agenda 2030, Stockholm Resilience Alliance, UN/ARUP Resilience Framework).
