The teaching is part of the general objective of the course of study and aims to provide the student with an overview of the evolutionary processes
of both the Western and global economies between the 18th and 21st centuries.
Particular attention will be devoted to the study of Italian economic development.
EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES
KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING:
The student/student at the end of the course should be able to:
-know the stages and dynamics of development in different historical periods and
geographical contexts;
-recognise the peculiarities in the historical periods considered and the protagonists of the
development;
-identify the policies adopted by governments in crisis contexts, using appropriate and relevant terminology.
-identify the fundamental stages in the evolution of the organisation of the labour factor.
SKILLS TO
APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
At the end of the course, the student will be able to recognise the dynamics of the historical development of national and world economic systems with particular reference to the evolution of work organisation.
He/she will be able to recognise the particularities of national economic development.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
At the end of the course the student will have acquired the following skills
communication skills:
-to be able to explain and discuss, also critically, the stages of the historical development of national and world economic systems.
-to recognise and explain the fundamental stages and evolutionary characteristics of work organisation.
-be able to address issues concerning Italian economic development.
