The aim of the class is to guide students to the acquisition of level C1.1 of CEFR.
Through Spanish-Italian contrastive analyses, students will be expected to develop a metalinguistic awareness and knowledge of the following areas of Spanish linguistics:
- Phonology and phonetics
- Morphology
- Syntax
- Semantics
- Pragmatics
The final exam will focus on:

BEFORE sitting the final exam, all students are warmly invited to take the language proficiency test for level C1.1 (first year lectorship) offered by the Centro Linguistico di Ateneo (the lector for this level is Cruz Carrascosa). For any information regarding the lector’s classes and tests, you should contact the Centro Linguistico di Ateneo (information and contacts are available on the website cla.unich.it).
In the event that a student decides to sit the final exam without having taken or passed the language proficiency test for level C1.1, their exam will also cover the following (in addition to the normal syllabus):
- Two more novels among those indicated in the reading list (for a total of 5 novels)
- A written test assessing the linguistic and metalinguistic skills covered in the textbook C de C1, with a special focus on the chapters from the beginning until H de Horarios (included). Passing the test is a prerequisite for accessing the rest of the exam.
