The course deals with the issues concerning the organizational problems of the company. The course aims to provide (a) a summary of the activity of corporate organizational planning through a study of paths and (b) the analytical tools of the constitutive and evolutionary aspects of the industrial sectors and of the external environment that influence the activity of organization planning. The course provides students with the basic tools for the governance and management of organizations, devoting a module also to international organizations.
In particular, students will have to: - Acquire the knowledge of the tools for analyzing the competitive business environment and the knowledge of how to design and implement organizational structure models. -Appropriate solutions to the critical issues of the organization's reference environment in terms of uncertainty and dependence on resources
- have mastery in the knowledge of interorganizational dynamics, and recognize the main theories of organizational studies
- recognize the structural mechanisms of connection, IT, and the main organizational control systems
- to quickly distinguish the decisional dynamics, both individual and group
Expected learning outcomes:
At the end of the course the student must be able to: * Understand and understand the organization according to a systemic approach, discern and select the best alternatives of organizational planning in terms of structures, cultures and styles of leadership - possess the fundamentals to design at the organizational level, a company in conditions of economic, social and environmental sustainability and learn how to draw the organization chart. Specifically, the student must: - be able to apply the tools for the organization's design in terms of contingent and structural elements and correctly interpret the results; - recognizing and assessing critical issues due to possible organizational dysfunctions - solving organizational organizational problems by implementing operational solutions * Autonomy of judgment * The student must:
-develop their own independent judgment in evaluating alternatives of corporate governance and planning according to the criteria of organizational, social and environmental sustainability.
- acquire the full awareness of any organizational reality arguing threats, opportunities, strengths and weaknesses in a strategic and organizational perspective. * Communication skills * Inexistent to communication skills, the student must make the communication skills necessary to be able to relate in a relaxed and safe with the world of organizations. In particular, it will:
-develop the terminology of the theoretical and applicative aspects of teaching;
to argue the hard and soft variables that regulate the effective and efficient functioning of the organizational processes;
to be able to explain at various levels the determinants of the behavior of the people within the organizations, and of the main tools that the company has to measure and increase its value.
