HISTORY OF PHILOSOPHY FROM THE AGE OF ENLIGHTENMENT TO THE CONTEMPORARY AGE
The course aims to give a theoretical and historical explanation of Kant's philosophy. A a part of this general issue, the course will pay attention on Kant's proofs of the existence of God in his precritical and critical philosophy.
The proofs of God existence in Kant's philosophy.
- Introduction to Kant's Thought;
- Proofs of God existence in the Nova Dilucidatio and Der einzig möglich Beweisgrund;
- General explanation of the transcendental Dialectics;
- The proofs in the Ideal of pure Reason;
- Postulates of practical reason;
- The moral Proof of God's Existence in The Critique of the Faculty of judgement.
The students should read these texts entirely.

Lessons
Examination through questioning conversation. The students should answer some questions about the course related texts. They have to demonstrate a good knowledge of the texts. Furthermore they have to show a full comprehension of the concepts of kantian philosophy, which are the course main issue, and to give an exposition of them coherent with the connected Kant's works. Moreover every student should peruse and comment a passage of the classical text included in the course program. The vote will be assigned according a thirtieth range.
The students should have the related texts at the beginning of the lessons.
