The teaching contributes to the realization of the educational objectives of the Degree Course in Philology, Linguistics and Literary Traditions, aiming to deepen in particular the knowledge and methodologies of Medieval History. At the end of the module the student must: 1. know the most important moments in medieval history 2. have a general vision from birth to the definitive affirmation of the Order of Friars Preachers 3. to orient oneself among the tools for historical / bibliographic research
Collection of sources and bibliography (3 ECTS). Sources and Bibliography relating to the Dominican Order (3 ECTS).
The programme is in two parts. The first will guide the students through of sources and bibliographical collections, while the second will analyse the most important tools for historical research into the Dominican Order.

Teacher up front lessons in Italian. Seminars and exercises.
Assessment will be by means of an oral exam to check knowledge of the themes dealt with in the lessons and of the related texts. The evaluation will be expressed in thirtieths.
