Objectives

The goal is provide to the students with the tools to understand the law evolution that moves and supports social and economic change. At the end of the course, the students will be able to:
- know the difference between validity and efficacy of a norm
- know the project models of legal systems
- know the concept of the hierarchy of sources of law
- discuss the concept of citizenship evolution.

Contents

- Introduction of Sociology of law
- Principal epistemological notions of the sociology of law
- The tool kit of the sociology of law
- The tool kit of principal notions of legal complexity and global society of knowledge
- Project models int he legal institutions
- Focus on the EU and its institutions
- Focus on the new concept of citizenships
- Specific topic hypercitinzeship
- Focus on the institutions’ violence in their ordinary administration and in the stigmatization of the masses just to control them.
