Objectives

The seminar intends to provide 1) the main coordinates for consultation and use of vocabularies (historical and etymological) in the lexicographical field; 2) the tools for editing entries of the Italian historical vocabulary.

Contents

A) Analysis of the main historical and etymological dictionaries of Romance area (especially Italian); B) analysis of Tesoro della Lingua Italiana delle Origini (TLIO); C) drafting of the entries for the TLIO.

Verification of learning:

Tests in progress for ATTENDING STUDENTS. Written exam for NON-ATTENDING students and for those who have not achieved sufficiency in all the tests in progress.

Contacts/More Information

Tests in progress will be evaluated only for those who have attended at least two / thirds of the Seminar (14 hours). Furthermore, for technical reasons (computer classroom capacity), only 15 students can attend the Seminar (in order of registration). The others will have to prepare the program for non-attending students.
