This class contributes to the general objectives of the degree course in Philology, Linguistics and Literary Tradition, with the specific aim of improving the knowledge and use of methodology acquired during the BA degree course.
Knowledge
At the end of this class, students will be provided with an advanced knowledge about the film historiography, which will allow them to have a deeper understanding of the contemporary world.
Critical thinking
Students will be able to autonomously discuss the methodological foundations of film historiography.
Communication skills
Students will be able to handle and communicate information about the historiographical categories that have been discussed in class.
Learning abilities
The approach to the discipline, aiming at discussing the categories on which the discussion about film production is based, will allow students to develop the learning skills that they need to access further education, at a Master’s and Ph.D. level, and to teach in secondary schools, where audio-visual material is often part of the learning environment.
