Understanding the basic operational logics that characterize organization, management and accountability in the various realities present in the sports field, with particular reference to:
-institutional organizations (CONI, Federations)
-professional sports clubs
-amateur sports associations and societies
-private companies belonging to the fitness market
The course is closely linked (as a component of the integrated course) to the concepts acquired in the course of law
Specifically, the course intends to develop the following knowledge:
- Basic concepts related to the operational management of sports from amateur organisations up to the highest national bodies;
- The business operations of the various sport organisations and strategic planning based on the different institutional objectives
- The economic management of athletes (from amateurism to elites)
- The economic balance of the different realities
- Classification and use of the various forms of sponsorship (from main sponsors to official suppliers)
- The organization and management of a sports "event" (from amateur tournaments to international events)
Moreover the course will favour the acquisition of the following skills, understood as ability to apply the acquired knowledge:
- Identify organizational and management problems within a sports organization (from amateur organisation to national institutional bodies);
- Take part in strategic planning processes from that of an amateur organisation, to a private reality of fitness;
- Participate in the processes of innovation and internal development of one's own reality (from investment decisions on home grown athletes to events promotions).
