The Master's Degree Program in Philology, Linguistics and Literary Traditions provides solid knowledge and competences in the fields of linguistics, literary studies, and history. Students can opt for a major in Modern Philology or in Philology and Literatures of the Ancient World (classified as LM14 and LM15 in the Italian university system). The programme provides students with sound methodological skills and highly qualified and versatile knowledge in the fields of classical and modern and contemporary studies. Both majors offer a wealth of literature, philology, linguistics, and history courses, and their interdisciplinary perspective aims to provide specialized knowledge as well as effective analytical tools. Students will acquire sound competences that may be applied to various professional fields. Career perspectives include the promotion and conservation of cultural heritage, information, teaching, the publishing and the cultural industry. The MA programme also provides research skills and fulfills the admission requirements for doctoral programmes and second-level professional master programmes. Courses include lectures, seminars, tutoring activities, laboratory activities, apprenticeship programmes within companies and public institutions, and internships. MA Graduates in Philology, Linguistics, and Literary Traditions possess solid theoretical and methodological knowledge in the areas of philology, linguistics, literature, and history.
