Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the course study students must gain the knowledge and the skills related to the course of study objectives in Social work.
The learning objective is related to the knowledge of Welfare systems and Social work.
Knowledge and understanding ability.
At the end of the course the student must know:
- Origins and developments of welfare systems;
- Social services in Italy and their transformations;
- The reforms of the Seventies, Eighties and Nineties of the twentieth century;
- The Law 328/2000 and the reform of Title V of the Constitution;
- The development of the social worker's profession in Italy;
- The objectives, functions and activities of the social services;
- The main theoretical approaches and models of social services;
- The methodological process of the social work;
- Principles, foundations and historical-philosophical principles of social work;
- The relationship in social work;
- The system of social and health services in Italy;
- The fields of social intervention.
Autonomy of judgment
At the end of the course the student must:
- identify the origins and developments of the social service;
- place the social service in the sphere of social policy;
- know the developments of the welfare system in relation to the most recent legislative changes;
- know the developments of the profession as social worker;
- know the historical-philosophical assumptions of the discipline;
- know the approaches and operational models of social work and know how to place them within the sphere of professional activity;
- acquire the concepts, the theoretical and methodological perspectives of the social service;
- know how to identify the objectives, functions and activities of the social service in relation to the different fields of application;
- know the system of social and health services in Italy and the related areas of intervention.
Communication skills
At the end of the course the student must gain a correct command of the specific language referred to the studied contents; know the concepts and the operational models related to social work.
