The Product Design 2 teaching introduces the student to the theoretical and operational knowledge of user-centered design and problem solving applied to design for product innovation. The specific aim, through the design exercises based on the user-centred design approach and on the methodology of creative problem solving, is the acquisition of techniques, tools and methods aimed at analyzing the strategies of using the product, check the correct sizing according to the anthropometric variability of the possible users, improve the usability, evaluate the pleasantness in its different declinations.

The Product design 2 course has the specific aim of:
- introducing the student to the methods and tools of ergonomics applied to the industrial product;
- applying the methodology of creative problem solving for product innovation;
- use the User Centred Design approach for industrial product innovation;
- strengthen and refine knowledge of design-driven innovation processes;
- encourage students in the individual process of professional training and guidance;
- developing the students creative and prefigurative skills through design simulation applied to a specific productive sector.
